Thank you for stopping by to view my initiative. MY ASK is that you help me in supporting this valuable organization in any way you can. Your help will change lives in an impactful and meaningful way.
For those who know me well, know that what matters most in my life is family, real estate and Florida Foster Care Review. I started my journey with Florida Foster Care Review in 2012 as a volunteer panel member, then moved on to panel chair and subsequently moving to the board in 2021. From day one, it became abundantly clear that it was the missing link that I needed to fuel my soul. Something much bigger than me. It was inconceivable to me that families and children could be lost in society without the support, structure and guidance they needed to survive and thrive. Families that had been stuck in the system time and again. It's cyclical in many of these families and they need our help to initiate change.
Let me paint the picture that lies within my mind when I think of Florida Foster Care Review. It starts with the thought of how blessed I am to have been born into a family that has raised me with consistent comfort, love, support and guidance. A family that I never had to wonder where my next meal would come from or where I would lay my head at night to sleep. A family where my Mommy and Daddy came home every night and I wasn't left alone, or worse, to watch violence within my home. But what if that wasn't the case? What if that wasn't the family I was born into? What if my children weren't born to me? I WOULD NEED SOMEONE TO FIGHT FOR ME... THEY WOULD NEED SOMEONE TO FIGHT FOR THEM...
That is my job here at Florida Foster Care Review. To fight for those who can't fight for themselves. We owe it to them to fight to provide, to care, to change the world they were born into. To help their lives become more stable within their own families and to have the forever families they dream of and deserve. I think we make strides to do that at Florida Foster Care Review.
Please take a moment to read a bit about what we do and how we do it. I have included a video that embodies a day in the life of a volunteer of Florida Foster Care Review and the impact it he made on children in the foster care system. There are Angels that walk among us, and Michael Samway is one of those Angels.
