Hello! My name is Meghan Wood, a board member for Hued Songs. Hued Songs is an amazing organization whose mission includes creating a platform for BIPOC artists to be seen, heard, and paid; making art more accessible; and forming a community around South Florida.
My favorite Hued Songs moment was acting as Performance Chair of Through the Storm: Women Walking in Greatness. This was a three-part series performed by local Miami artists, amplifying the historic contributions of three influential South Florida women - Dr. Dorothy Jenkins Fields, Chief Sandrell Rivers, and Betty Mae Tiger Jumper.
