Michelle Lisa loves Bookleggers Library!

In case you don't know, that's me in the middle with the locs! I'm a proud board member and friend of Bookleggers Library. I've been lucky to watch this organization grow since its early days when Nathaniel was carrying books around in crates, hosting pop-ups around the city. Today, Bookleggers has a long-term home at Bakehouse Art Complex and hosts regular programming such as Adventure-Leggers, an annual full-day family event celebrating literacy and art. They also have a cute book bike and a brand-new trailer!

All of this is to support a simple mission of expanding access to free books as a way of building community. Bookleggers Library has been successful at doing this work thanks to support from our Miami community! Keep up this momentum by donating to our Give Miami Day fundraiser!
