Shred the Debt with Eliana

I think most of us are too familiar with the fear of a big medical incident, followed by a big medical bill that leaves us and our families in a difficult situation. For many families in our city, this fear is a reality.

Throughout this year, I've paid thousands of dollars in medical bills already, and while frustrating, I'm always grateful that I can pay them. That is not the case for many families who often have to choose between buying food and paying debt. This also leads them to delay care when needed because of the cost it would incur, leading to worse health outcomes. 

We've partnered with Undue Medical Debt to buy off medical debt for pennies on the dollar and provide families this holiday season with the gift of erasing that burden.

I joined the Global Shapers to partner with other leaders in tackling the challenges our city faces. Our goal is to raise $10,000, which would relieve $2.7 million in medical debt for families in Miami-Dade. 

$25 donation: relieve $6750 in debt

$50 donation: relieve $13,500 in debt

$75 donation: relieve $20,250 in debt

$100 donation: relieve $27,000 in debt

$200 donation: relieve $54,000 in debt
