As a board member of Project Transforming Hope, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible transformations in the lives of young Black Boys participating in our program. This is more than youth development—it’s about changing the trajectory of lives and communities.

Why I Believe in This Work

I joined the board because of our unwavering commitment to a simple yet profound truth:

“Black Boys deserve to live and grow old.”

Our vision is to build communities where Black Boys are educated, empowered, and inspired to pursue paths that align with their talents and interests. This work is personal to me because I’ve seen how access to opportunities—and the support to navigate them—can change everything.

What We Do

Located in Miami-Dade County, Project Transforming Hope guides fellows through an 8-month journey of growth and empowerment.

Each month, fellows participate in expert-led workshops that open doors to internships, credentialing, scholarships, and post-secondary opportunities tailored to their unique strengths and ambitions.

The program ends with a service component, where fellows give back to their community and pledge to uplift the next generation. This cycle of mentorship and empowerment is how we create lasting change.
