In Loving Memory of Dr. Eileen McDonough

In honor of Dr. Eileen McDonough's distinguished 53-year career at Barry University, we invite you to contribute to a scholarship fund established in her name. Dr. McDonough's remarkable journey began in 1970 as a chemistry professor and evolved into a groundbreaking role as Barry's Faculty Athletics Representative (FAR) since 1983. Her dedication and leadership in this role have profoundly impacted student-athletes and university athletics, including guiding Barry to achieve a 90% or higher NCAA President’s Award for Academic Success Rate for nine consecutive years.

Dr. McDonough has been a pioneering force in shaping NCAA regulations and academic standards, contributing to the establishment of policies still in use today. Her commitment extends beyond athletics, with active roles in various community organizations and a legacy of fostering academic and athletic excellence.

This scholarship fund celebrates her lifelong dedication to education, student success and athletics. Dr. McDonough has touched countless lives.
