I'm very excited to be a Champion for Miami Waterkeeper this Give Miami Day!

I have a BS degree in Environmental Science and extremely passionate about conservation and protecting the planet. I am originally from the UK and have family in England, Italy and Puerto Rico. My husband and I moved to Miami earlier in the year and it is now our home. I believe it is incredibly important to give back what you take and nothing is for granted.

Miami’s waterways are the lifeblood of our community and a beacon for the world’s oceans. Right now, their future hangs in the balance—vulnerable to pollution, climate change, and neglect. The tropics hold the power to shape the destiny of our entire ocean planet, and Miami stands ready to lead the way as a model of hope, strength, and results.

Miami Waterkeeper is an environmental organization that protects South Florida's waters by advocating for resilient solutions grounded in science, rooted in nature, and driven by community.

When we unite with Miami Waterkeeper, we show the world what’s possible: clear, thriving waters, restored coral reefs, flourishing seagrasses, and vibrant communities that live in harmony with nature. But this future isn’t guaranteed—it depends on people like you.

Here's why I'm passionate about supporting Miami Waterkeeper:

  • Clean, sparkling waters define Miami's soul. From Biscayne Bay to our beaches, water quality shapes our lifestyle, economy, and the very essence of what makes Miami special.
  • Miami Waterkeeper is our trusted local expert for water quality. The team provides real-time information and tireless advocacy to keep our waters clean and our community informed.
  • Miami Waterkeeper is the only non-profit organization in South Florida that is bridging the gap between science and policy, providing decision-makers with the best and latest research as they shape our future.
  • The Miami Waterkeeper team also engages the broader community - both youth and adults - in environmental education and civic action.

The health of Biscayne Bay affects us all - whether you live on the water or more inland. That's why the Miami Waterkeeper team advocates for policies and projects that:

  • Promote clean water
  • Protect our natural habitats
  • Build resilience against sea level rise

Will you join us today? Your donation isn’t just a gift—it’s a powerful action to protect Miami’s natural treasures, inspire the tropics, and spark global change. Every dollar preserves our waters, trains local leaders, and gives new life to endangered habitats.

Together, we can make Miami a shining example for the world—where nature and people thrive side by side. Please help us prove what’s possible when a community stands together for something greater than itself.

Invest in the water you love! Please give today and join me in supporting Miami Waterkeeper by making a gift today.
