Fanm Saj - Youth Leader Gwen 🐚❤️‍🔥

Fanm Saj matters to me because it has been one of the few spaces where I’ve felt genuinely seen, supported, and encouraged to step into my full potential. When I first joined the circles, I didn’t just learn the practices of Restorative Justice I learned how to listen deeply, how to hold space for others, and how to speak from a place of honesty and care. Over time, these circles became more than just meetings; they became a community that helped me heal, grow, and understand my own leadership.

This past year has been especially meaningful. I moved from being a participant to becoming a peer coach on our youth leadership board. In this role, I had the honor of guiding two new youth leaders as they prepared for and held their first successful circles. Watching them step into their power reminded me of how transformative this work is. It showed me the impact of being mentored and then becoming the mentor. Fanm Saj creates a ripple effect: when one of us grows, all of us grow.

Through the healing spaces, the leadership training, and the sisterhood we build with one another, Fanm Saj has helped me understand the importance of community care. It has taught me that young people deserve places where our voices matter, where our stories are held with love, and where we can practice both accountability and compassion.

My goal is to raise $333 to support youth training in Restorative Justice so more young people can experience the same empowerment and connection I’ve found here. Your support helps create leaders, heal communities, and make sure that youth have access to spaces that uplift and transform us.
