Give Miami Day: MORAES

Join me in helping to support MORAES, a local non-profit focused on inspiring and retaining local marine ecologists. MORAES offers a streamlined path to get involved through applied research, publishing, volunteering and education outreach. Their goal is to protect our South Florida marine resources through collaborative community involvement and stewardship. MORAES strives to get members of the community involved in marine science regardless of background or education level. We believe that change starts from within, and that we as a community need to take the steps torward a more sustainable Miami.

I am currently the sea turtle intern for MORAES and had the privilege to help MORAES protect sea turtle nests on Virginia Key from raccoon predation.
