My name is Nidiagenesis Lopez, and I’m passionate about giving back to a place that fosters so many amazing memories and brings about endless opportunities for both my community and me.

From a young age, my mom would take me to my local Miami-Dade Public Library branch. Growing up in a Spanish-speaking household, the library became my gateway to learning English and discovering the endless stories others like me had to tell. 

To this day, the library remains my favorite place. From tutoring resources to language-learning opportunities, the library offers so much more than just books! It is a place where everyone is welcome, and community is at the forefront.
