Dear Friends, Family and Neighbors,
Please join me in supporting Friends of the Commodore Trail's advocacy work to improve the safety and usability of the 5 mile historic Trail that runs through Coconut Grove and Coral Gables.
My family uses the Trail every day, and we love to bike, walk, and explore. But the Trail as it is today is challenging to enjoy safely with its many unsafe crossings, potholes, tree roots, narrow or non-existent sidewalks, lack of safe crosswalks, and crowded conditions.
Thanks to Friends of the Commodore Trail's advocacy, we are supporting the history, events and people who use the trail daily including Walk, Bike and Roll to School Day, The King Mango Strut, the Miami Marathon, History tours, garden tours, Scout Hikes, Senior Citizen Day and more. We advocate for near-term safety improvements such as improved crosswalks, school speed zone signs, police enforcement of speed zones and crosswalks, and trail maintenance.
If you live in the Grove or use the Trail, please join me in donating on Give Miami Day now until November 20th. Be a Friend to the Commodore Trail!
Your Friend,
Mary Munroe Seabrook
