Our focus program for Give Miami Day is our RESTORATIVE JUSTICE DIVERSION program. A program that allows arrested girls and non-binary youth to have their case resolved by SOUL Sisters completely outside of the juvenile legal system. The mission of the program is (1) resolver felony & high level misdemeanor cases for girls under age 18 before they are charged to prevent the possibility of probation or incarceration, (2) build leadership and organizing skills of participants through Sisterhood Academy program, and (3) to increase access to participants' social-emotional support through our Freedom Coaching youth & family advocacy service.
OUR VISION: THE INCARCERATION OF GIRLS IN MIAMI-DADE COUNTY IS NOT NEEDED & NO LONGER TOLERATED.
