Safespace Foundation, Inc.

Safespace Foundation, Inc. is composed of volunteers. Safespace Foundation, Inc. provides emergency relief assistance to survivors and victims of domestic violence in Miami, including paying bills, relocation expenses to another State, purchase cell phones, supplmementing their needs on an individual basis; provide funds for the children to attend Summer Camp and related activities; provide funds to celebrate all holidays at the shelters so that the particpants do not miss the joy of the holidays; perform "back to school" events at the shelters to provide the children what they need for school; conduct empowerment programs for the women, which focuses on personal and interpersonal skills, including sessions on self-esteem, goal setting, financial and budgeting education, building and maintaining healthy relationships, parenting  assertiveness and communication skill building, employability fundamentals, basic computer training, online job applications and resume writing. We participate in a WALK against domestic violence every year, sponsored by the North Miami Beach Police Department, to create awareness in our community.
