We welcome you to our exciting Fall Season!

The past six months were a spectacular safari of community performances with audiences responding with critical acclaim; April 1st Sanctuary of the Arts Women's Choreographic Voices The Rise, June 4th, Miami Beach Botanical Garden’s Rhythmic Earth, July Tour to Martinique with the Miami-Dade Department of Cultural Affairs sponsored International Cultural Partnership collaboration with Davin Milome's MD Company, and closing out the summer with the phenomenal International Cultural Exchange performances for our annual Miami Dance Heat Wave at our home base, the Little Haiti Cultural Complex with MD Company, Kathak Kala Sangam Classical Indian Dance Company and Metamorphosis Dance Company both from Trinidad and Tobago; July 28 & 29 audiences were treated to magnificent, spirited and soul lifting performances of hip-hop, classical Indian dance, contemporary, modern and Afro-Caribbean dance.

We are thrilled, deeply honored and inspired that for our 12th annual Arts Partnership Season with the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County, they and Peter London Global Dance Company have commissioned a choreographic work by Jamar Roberts (former Alvin Ailey Company Member and former Resident Choreographer) for the production EDGE OF TOMORROW of Peter London Global Dance Company Inc. to be performed at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami-Dade County in December 28- 31, 2023.

We are happy to have Jamar Roberts stellar choreographic work premiered on our program, with a commissioned score by the brilliant Jazz Trumpeter and award-winning composer, Etienne Charles.

Charles will also compose for a world premiere powerful duet choreographed and performed by Martha Graham Dance Company's star and principal dancer, Lloyd Knight and soloist Richard Villaverde.

For the past thirteen years, we have been celebrating Miami's gifted young artists as a core belief of PLGDC' s mission and vision; Jamar Roberts, Lloyd Knight and Richard Villaverde are all Miami raised and trained dancers. We are excited that their families, teachers, mentors, friends, and the next generation of aspiring young dancers of Miami-Dade County and beyond will get to experience the incredible artistry by some of America's leading dance stars and choreographers, accompanied by the genius music of Etienne Charles.

Additionally, Miami native and award winning choreographer, Justin Rapaport, former star of Ballet BC, Vancouver, will premiere a stunning and exhilarating solo accompanied by his own musical composition, and performed by PLGDC awesome dancers, Clinton Harris and Camilo Toro is not to be missed. Our dancers include the undeniable artistry of Maria Burt and Leon Cobb, Herne Jean-Baptiste, Wesley Wray, Ethan Telfort and Jerome Hawkins.
