Equitable Weatherization Clinic
The Clinic connects low-income households to existing weatherization programs, audits the programs to identify underlying barriers to weatherization, and helps develop solutions to any barriers identified. Weatherization, the process of protecting infrastructure from the elements, is vital for long-term resiliency. There is a growing divide between those who can weatherize their homes and those who do not have access to weatherization resources. Equitable weatherization--protects in the event of a disaster while mitigating local carbon emissions, thereby helping to alleviate the harshest consequences of global warming which are already felt along racial and socio-economic lines.
