Mission Statement – Youth of Valor Empowerment (YOVE): The I AM Y.O.V.E. program is dedicated to a “Career Focus. College Bound” path. It unites future women leaders with diverse career choices, maintaining a 100% high school graduation rate and college readiness. Fueled by passion and united in purpose, the program empowers at-risk teenage girls attending public high schools to become influential women leaders of tomorrow. Through mentorship development, Y.O.V.E. builds confidence, promotes college preparedness, youth development, community involvement, and fulfills required community service hours for underprivileged teenage girls.
The Youth of Valor Empowerment (YOVE) Program believes that each girl carries the potential to become leaders of change within their communities. Lack of mentorship intervention, lack of seriousness towards education, lack of knowledge, amongst minority youths, is the root of social challenges one of which is producing unproductive citizens. The YOVE Program has created three important organizational goals for the girls: 1. To increase career preparation readiness, mentorship intervention for the YOVE Program for all the participants from 9-12 grades 2 To increase high school graduation and college readiness rates among them to 100%. 2. To increase the college acceptance and attendance rate of the YOVE girls up to 100%
Our mission is to train, develop and equip girls to be effective leaders for tomorrow, caring citizens, and self-aware of themselves and their communities. Our vision is to have up to 100% high school graduating rate yearly, be placed among one of the best after school program in the community.
