At Urgent Academy (UA), we are committed to the mission of empowering our learners to excel academically, explore their interests, drive their learning, and make meaningful contributions to their communities. 

Urgent Academy opened its doors in August 2024 in Historic Overtown Miami and is now located at the new Children's Village by Lotus House.

Our unique program emphasizes project-based learning, which prepares students for dynamic futures in various fields. Students benefit from real-world off-campus learning, fostering practical skills and strong community ties. Additionally, our curriculum is bolstered by authentic assessments that reflect real-world competencies rather than traditional testing.

$15,000 — Access Tools & Tech: Equip a studio, classroom, or tech cart.

This level ensures young creators have the tools—cameras, mics, editing software, robotics kits, tablets—to build portfolios that open doors to future opportunities.

$10,000 — Ignite Learning Scholarship: Sponsor a full year of learning for one youth.:

Your investment powers personalized learning, integrated arts + tech, mentoring, and the full Urgent Academy experience—including THRIVE Time, Presentations of Learning, and hands-on, real-world creative projects.

$7,500 — Community Media Residency (12 Weeks)

Sponsor a 12-week media residency where Urgent Academy interns capture and produce video and photo content for a community organization or your organization! Your investment funds youth scholarships, stipends, equipment, and coaching—while helping you tell their story with powerful media created by emerging creators.

$5,000 Project Based Learning: 12-Week Experience

Fund a full 12-week PBL cycle where students investigate real-world issues, collaborate with industry partners, and create meaningful products—films, exhibitions, prototypes, campaigns, or solutions. Your gift fuels coaching, materials, field learning, guest mentors, and public exhibitions of student work.

$2,500 — Future-Ready Field Learning (Leave-to-Learn)

Send a cohort off-campus to learn from real places, people, and projects.
This supports transportation, facilitation, and fees for field-based learning across Miami’s creative, tech, and cultural ecosystem.

$500 — Presentation of Learning: Amplify student voice and mastery.

Support students as they publicly demonstrate growth, share portfolios, and present meaningful work to families, peers, and community reviewers.

$250 — THRIVE Time Assembly: Fuel belonging, identity, and community.

Help us create monthly assemblies that uplift passion  and academic projects, celebrate strengths, and practice the competencies that make up our THRIVE Portrait of a Learner.

$75 — Booster Club: Join the circle of champions who make the everyday magic possible.

Support supplies, celebrations, classroom needs, snacks, and the little moments that make students feel seen and supported.
