Uniqly Made Foundation

Uniqly Made Foundation was founded in April 2019 by Jamara Brooks-Parmer, a devoted mother, wife, entrepreneur, and author, out of a deep calling to maximize the quality of life for families with unique abilities and special healthcare needs through education, outreach, and empowerment.

What began as a mission to support and uplift caregivers became even more personal on May 27, 2025, when Jamara’s beautiful 14-year-old daughter, Jahmya – lovingly known as our Uniq Warrior – transitioned from myocarditis.

Jahmya’s life and light continue to guide every part of this foundation. She fought bravely, smiled through pain, and touched every heart she encountered. Now, her legacy lives on through every family we serve, every voice we amplify, and every child we honor.

In addition to founding Uniqly Made Foundation, Jamara launched UniqHaven Advocacy Service, a lifeline for caregivers walking similar paths. Through this service and various campaigns, the foundation reassures families that they are not alone while providing resources, guidance, and hope. Jamara is also the author of an empowering memoir and children’s book created to inspire others to live in their truth and embrace resilience through life’s greatest challenges.

UMF is now launching the UniqGrief Garden Support Circle, a safe space for parents and caregivers to find comfort, healing, and community as they navigate life after loss.

“My vision has always been to stand in the gap and be a voice for families navigating the emotional and physical journey of caregiving,” Jamara shares. “Losing my daughter has only deepened my purpose. Every program, every resource, every moment of support is done in her honor – to ensure no family ever feels alone on this journey.”
