At Transit Alliance, our mission is to build a safer and more equitable Miami-Dade. We are committed to transforming our city by advocating for walkable streets, bikeable neighborhoods, and reliable public transit!

Transit Alliance is committed to moving Miami forward.

Since our founding in 2015, Transit Alliance has led the largest mobility advocacy campaigns in Miami-Dade County. Together with our coalition partners, elected leaders, hundreds of advocates, and a dedicated team – we have moved Miami forward on key mobility issues over the past few years.

  1. We are spearheading the nation's first advocacy-led and community-driven bus network redesign!
  2. We helped close Ocean Drive to cars and continue to advocate for more streets for people and businesses
  3. We restored $15 million to the transit budget
  4. We released the first county-wide Mobility Scorecard.
  5. We built the first real-time public transit audit, measuring Metrorail's on-time performance
  6. We advocated for the first walk-up coronavirus testing sites in Miami-Dade County
  7. We helped advocate against the Kendall Parkway highway project

This is how we do it:

Building Community

It takes intentionality and dedication to build a movement. Your donations help us bring together transit riders, advocates, and nerds from all over South Florida! Yes, we go way past the Dade/Broward County lines!

Through the Transit Allies Program, Dade Bike Rides, and our City Tours, we showcase the good, the fixable, and the possibilities for Miami-Dade mobility. We are incredibly grateful for our growing transit-loving community for supporting our work, and allowing us to continue having these important conversations.

Leveraging Data

Deep dives into data help us make a strong case for our elected officials to invest in the transit our community clamors for. Support from donors like you helped us publish reports like the 2023 State of Transit and 2023 Mobility Scorecard!

Taking Action

Mobilizing Miami-Dade's transit riders and advocates leads us to a more equitable and sustainable mobility future. Whether it's advocating for the Baylink MetroMover extension or against budget cuts, donations like yours help us amplify the voices of community members when transit decisions are made by our elected officials!
