 We Want to Celebrate 10 Years of Sustained Transit Advocacy Alongside You! 

This August 21st-22nd, Transit Alliance Miami (TAM) is kicking off our 10-year anniversary celebration the best way we know how: by getting on the move! We’re embarking on an ambitious 24-hour multimodal journey across every corner of Miami — from Kendall to North Dade, from the beach to the Everglades by transit, bike, and on foot. Together, we’ll explore what it really means to get around the city without a car, and spotlight the barriers and opportunities that define that experience.

 One Vision: A Miami Built for People, Not Just Cars. 

Since our founding in 2015, Transit Alliance has led the largest mobility advocacy campaigns in Miami-Dade County. Together with our coalition partners, elected leaders, hundreds of advocates, and a dedicated team – we have moved Miami forward on key mobility issues over the past few years:

1. We spearheaded the nation's first advocacy-led and community-driven bus network redesign!
2. We helped close Ocean Drive to cars and continue to advocate for more streets for people and businesses
3. We restored $15 million to the transit budget
4. We released the first county-wide Mobility Scorecard.
5. We built the first real-time public transit audit, measuring Metrorail's on-time performance.

Today, we continue to fight to preserve preserve all current Metrobus, Metrorail, and Metromover service in a year of unprecedented deficit, and reduce the proposed 50¢ bus/rail hike and eliminate the proposed 75¢ STS increase entirely.
