Since 1995, Touching Miami with Love (TML) has been at the heart of the Overtown and West Homestead neighborhoods, driving change from the ground up. As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we’re reflecting on a powerful legacy—one built on community, resilience, and love in action. Our commitment to these communities is stronger than ever. We’re not just closing economic and academic gaps—we’re confronting systemic disparities, breaking down barriers, and helping individuals rise beyond limitations and stigmas.

Every year, nearly 1,000 children, youth, and adults participate in our year-round programs designed to inspire, educate, and empower. From after-school enrichment and summer camps to in-school support and leadership development, we equip young people with the skills and confidence to thrive—academically, emotionally, and socially. In the safe, nurturing spaces we provide, they’re not just learning—they’re discovering their voices and stepping boldly into their futures.

TML’s impact extends beyond the classroom. We believe that when parents are empowered, the entire family—and the community—becomes stronger. Our family programming offers practical tools in communication, literacy, financial management, healthy living, and job readiness. And when challenges arise, TML responds. Whether it’s food insecurity, housing instability, unemployment, prayer, or access to mental and medical health services—our team is present and ready. No one is turned away, and every need is met with compassion and dignity.
