The Underline: Connecting Communities and Inspiring Miami’s Future
The Underline is a 10-mile linear park, urban trail, and public art destination transforming Miami’s urban core by connecting communities from the Miami River in Brickell to Dadeland in South Miami. With new destinations in Coconut and Coral Gables, The Underline has nearly doubled in size in the past year and continues to create a healthier, more connected, and more vibrant city for everyone.
Our mission is to connect people and places through mobility, culture, and community. By reimagining the land beneath the Metrorail, The Underline has become a thriving civic space where neighbors meet, ideas grow, and Miami moves forward together.
From concerts and festivals to fitness classes, public art installations, markets, retail, and so much more, The Underline is now a stage for Miami’s creativity and community spirit. Our new workforce development programs are helping residents gain skills and opportunities that strengthen both people and the local economy.
We are also continuing our commitment to sustainability by adding native trees and plants that cool our city, support biodiversity, and create welcoming green spaces for all.
Every donation helps us expand programs and events that connect communities, inspire joy, and shape The Underline as Miami’s cultural destination. Together, we’re building a city that moves.
To deliver and activate a 120-acre, world-class linear park spanning 10-miles below Miami's Metrorail that will transform regional mobility and celebrate diversity, culture and lifelong learning. Through innovative urban trails and creative programming, we are connecting people to their environment and each other to create a safe, healthy, equitable, and sustainable community.
