The organization is an evolution from its predecessor company originally founded in Caracas, Venezuela. Due to the Venezuelan socio-political turmoil, the company relocated to the city of North Miami in 2015, from its previous home.
Each season, the company offers a variety of events. The main event is a yearly production at the Knight Concert Hall at the Adrienne Arsht Center, other events include the showing of original feature film documentaries about the work of the company at local cinemas and smaller-scale performances at smaller performing arts venues such as the Colony Theater in Miami Beach, the South Miami Dade Cultural Arts Center, and Aventura Arts and Cultural Center.
In addition, the company has a touring program, in which it focuses on bringing the work of the company to other states and countries.
In 2022 the company will have an impressive total of 11 live performances which include their Summer tour to California where they presented three shows in three different cities, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and San Francisco with great success, in addition to two nominations to the Latin Grammys 2022. In 2021, the company was invited to the Iberica Contemporanea Festival in Mexico, other cities where the company has performed on both self-presentations and guaranteed hired performances include Houston, New York, Tampa, and Orlando.
Its educational program focuses on advanced teenagers, as well as, adults of varying ages and levels, including non-professional dancers with an interest to develop as professional dancers. The company has produced a total of 8 professional dancers, now touring regularly with the company offering a unique opportunity for these young dancers. In 2021 Siudy Flamenco awarded $22,000 in training scholarships to students with financial hardship.
