Schoenstatt Movement of Florida

The Schoenstatt Movement in Miami, founded in 1983, is fundraising for its "Centro Familiar" project, which aims to create a place of growth and spiritual nourishment for the community. The overall fundraising goal for the project is $5,500,000.

The project is divided into two stages:

• Stage 1: Family House - Schoenstatt Miami. This stage has a fundraising goal of $1,700,000. It includes an area for Mass celebration, halls for married couples, women, men, and youth (female and male), a kitchenette, and restrooms, with a capacity of 230 people.
• Stage 2: Reception Center. This stage has a fundraising goal of $3,600,000. It will feature a multipurpose hall and terraces with a capacity for approximately 400 people (200+200), 207 parking spaces, a sacristy, an altar, a guest house, an office, a meeting room, storage rooms, a store, a coffee shop, and ADA bathrooms. An entrance pergola is also part of the overall fundraising, with a goal of $200,000.

Currently, the stage 1 fundraising progress shows that 24% has been raised through donations, with 76% still pending

The Schoenstatt Movement in Miami serves a vibrant community:

• Every weekend, 300 people gather for Eucharist and Catholic celebrations.
• Annually, 30 workshops and conferences are held, with 500 participants.
• 600 people attend the annual pilgrimage of the Apostolate of the Pilgrim Virgin during May.

Ways to contribute to the fundraising include individual donations (one-time or recurring), large donations through third parties, grants and sponsorships, participation in fundraising events, and becoming campaign ambassadors. Fundraising events include an annual pilgrimage, community dinners and bake sales, family fun days, and auctions and raffles. Donors are recognized through website and social media acknowledgments, donor walls or recognition plaques, and regular project updates.
