$8,000 Goal

Doctors take care of patients, we take care of families.

What does RMHC do? For 41 years, the Ronald McDonald House Charities® (RMHC) of South Florida has provided a "home-away-from-home" near the hospital for families navigating the challenges of long-term hospital treatments with their children.

Where are we? The Ronald McDonald House Charities® of South Florida is located on the grounds of the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Miami, FL.  With 31 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, and play areas, RMHC® keeps families near medical facilities, easing financial and emotional burdens for caregivers while their children receive treatment.

Who are the families we help? The Ronald McDonald House assists families with seriously ill or injured children who are 21 years of age or younger and travel from all over Florida, the United States, and around the world.

How can you help?  The nightly cost to support a family is $104, but we only ask for a $20 donation, ensuring no one is turned away. Operating at 100% occupancy, RMHC relies on community support to cover the $100 daily cost, making it possible for families to stay, regardless of their financial situation. We believe the love of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed... Help us continue keeping families together when they need it most by donating any amount on Give Miami Day.

Mission

We support the health and well-being of children by providing lodging, meals, activities and a community of care to critically ill children and their families who need to be near a hospital for treatment.
