RE Entry One Inc. is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to reduce Florida’s recidivism rates by providing effective reentry programs and wrap-around services to returning citizens. Founded in 2021 by Executive Director Giovanni Sairras—who served 17 years in the Florida State Prison system—Re-Entry One was created to fill the critical service gaps returning citizens face in South Florida. Since its founding, Re-Entry One has supported over 1,000 individuals on their path to reintegration.
Our services are offered through direct institution visits, community engagement, and collaborative partnerships. We focus on key areas of support including employment, housing, healthcare, hygiene, and family reunification.
Active Programs
Project R.I.S.E. : A dynamic reentry initiative offering both a 12-week in-prison curriculum and two-day intensive community workshops for justice-impacted individuals. The program focuses on life skills, employability training, financial literacy, resume building, interview preparation, and job placement support. Community-based workshops are designed to assist those recently released or referred directly from probation officers. Project RISE partners with Miami-Dade probation and accepts referrals from both state and federal supervision caseloads.
REACH Families: A family reunification and courtroom advocacy program supporting children of incarcerated parents and their families. Through advocacy, wrap-around services, and community events, we help ease the transition after incarceration. We’ve successfully assisted multiple participants in achieving early termination of probation.
#HealthForward: This program ensures that returning citizens have immediate access to physical health services upon release—regardless of insurance status. We provide transportation to clinics, food, and hygiene kits to support their reintegration journey.
JIST CARE: A holistic support initiative providing justice-impacted individuals with free food, clothing, and hygiene products. JIST CARE ensures individuals' basic needs are met as they reenter society and pursue employment and stability.
Community Engagement and Holistic Support: We host year-round events and services that promote healing, reunification, and empowerment for justice-impacted families. These include food and clothing drives, toy distributions, backpack giveaways, art and media workshops, and panel discussions on justice reform. These spaces provide essential resources and strengthen family and community bonds impacted by incarceration.
PATH Program (Probation Advocacy Through Healing): In partnership with Miami-Dade County Probation, we support individuals seeking early termination or modification of probation. We also provide structured volunteer opportunities for those completing community service requirements through our events and partner organizations.
Mission Statement: To reduce and/or eliminate Florida's recidivism rate through providing wraparound reentry support services to returning citizens and connect them to community programs and services upon return into their community.
VISION STATEMENT: Inspiring a life of change in Florida's Returning citizens through ambitious transition/re-entry programs and services
