P.S. 305

A nonprofit organization

In a county as diverse and vibrant as ours—from Homestead to Hialeah, Liberty City to Little Havana—our public schools are where generations of Miamians learn what community really means.

Our role is to raise expectations for what public education can and should make possible—not just as a pathway for learning, but for shaping our communities for generations to come.

We should expect our public schools to reflect the soul of Miami-Dade communities—bold, creative, multilingual, and unafraid to dream.

We should expect classrooms that honor the cultures and histories of our neighborhoods, where every student—from Opa-locka to Kendall—feels seen, safe, and capable of shaping their future.

We should expect our public schools to be centers of community life—places where families are partners, where educators are respected, and where young people learn that their voices matter.

We should expect decisions about our schools to be made with our communities, not for them—transparent, accountable, and rooted in the belief that public institutions belong to the public.

At P.S. 305, we are building toward that vision. Together with working families, educators, and neighbors, we are organizing to ensure that Miami-Dade’s public schools remain public and powerful engines of possibility.

Because the future of this county—its democracy, its economy, its culture—depends on the strength of its public schools.

Mission

We see public education as one of the most powerful intersections in Miami-Dade’s pursuit of justice, dignity, and collective thriving.

We organize working families and educators to defend and strengthen public schools as engines of justice and community power.
