At Paw Patrol Animal Rescue and Sanctuary, our mission is simple but powerful: to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abandoned, found, and surrendered animals. As a foster-based nonprofit, we rely entirely on a network of compassionate volunteers who open their homes, and hearts, to pets in need. 

Our rescued animals are cared for in private homes across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties, where they receive everything they need, medical care, food, and supplies, all provided by us. Our fosters provide the one thing no rescue can buy: love.

Co-founded by Cristy Torres and Ana Lopez, our organization was born from a shared passion for helping animals in distress. What began as a heartfelt mission has grown into a tightly run rescue powered by a small but dedicated team of volunteers and fosters. To date, we’ve helped place 1,400 animals in loving forever homes, and countless more through partnerships with fellow rescues when our resources were stretched thin.

At any given time, we are caring for around 40 animals, many arriving from heartbreaking situations. Miami continues to face a crisis of abandoned and neglected pets, and we regularly work with local authorities on cases involving hoarding, abuse, and neglect. We also step in when no one else can, rescuing animals from overcrowded shelters, pulling them off the streets injured, and taking on emergency cases, whether it’s puppies left in boxes, dogs hit by cars, or seniors discarded when they’re no longer convenient.

The work is hard, but the outcomes are powerful. Watching broken animals heal and blossom into beloved family members is what fuels us every day. Thanks to social media, our community of supporters spans far beyond South Florida, proof that compassion knows no bounds.

Every dollar donated goes directly to the care of these animals, paying for veterinary treatment, food, and safe shelter.

We may be small, but we are relentless in our mission. We are their voice. We are their second chance.
