Ali Cruz in Where or WhenLost Girls Theatre has been telling the stories of awkward women of all ages since 2015 -- primarily through readings of new plays by emerging playwrights. We're interested in under-told stories -- particularly those from a LGBTQ female perspective. Our first full production, Juliet Among the Changelings, was a young adult lesbian fairytale. In 2022, we partnered with the Incomparable Radio Theater to produce Where or When? an audio drama podcast featuring a bisexual heroine torn between two time periods. In 2024, we brought you Not Taylor's Version: Play Readings and Dance Party, a theatrical event inspired by the works of Taylor Swift, and Tea & CreativiTEA, a place where creatives of all types can come together and work on their projects in collective peace. In 2025, we've continued Tea & Creativity and provided fiscal sponsorship to multiple theatre projects, allowing other artists to realize their visions, while borrowing our non-profit status for grants and donations.

What’s in the works?

  • The Getting Lost without a Stage Direction Podcast — where we talk about plays
  • Another Staged Reading and Dance Party Event — this time set to your favorite 90s tunes
  • Another audio drama
  • And eventually another full production — when the project is right for us.
