LIGHTHOUSE ANGELS INC

Lighthouse Angels Inc was founded in 2014 by serving the homeless population in Overtown due to the founder's own experience of being affected with homelessness. Later, the name Lighthouse Angels Inc was legalized in 2020 where we expanded our services throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties. We strive to put an end to homelessness and break the cycle of poverty off those we serve within the community. We have been devoted to serving over 250,000 individuals and families throughout Miami Dade County with the help from our faithful sponsors, partners and volunteers. Our organization successfully serves with a heart of compassion to those who are considered the broken, least and rejected. Transforming lives is our focus and we have understood the assignment to build each person we encounter with love, kindness, peace, hope and dignity. Our programs and services are focused on reaching back to those in need in several ways such as by being an aid and resource to cease homelessness and restore self-sufficiency, distributing food to needy families to prevent food insecurity, providing resources and counseling to children and families, and providing services to the elderly population restoring healthier and productive lives.

We are privileged to facilitate a senior program in both Liberty City and Brownsville areas for our older generation with trainings such as basic computer/phone technology, health and wellness and the ability to redevelop social skills. We also provide emergency shelter referrals for children and families to help them secure a safe place to live. 

Our upcoming projects is to purchase a 15-passenger van and box truck to be able to pick up large quantity of food to distribute to families in need in our community.  We also are looking for willing organizations to donate an apartment building or single-family home to be able to house seniors who are unsheltered as well as children and families.  

Overall, our mission is to show unconditional LOVE to all people and be a LIGHT to the world. Our Geographic locations we serve in Miami-Dade County areas are Liberty City, Overtown, Brownsville, South Miami, North Miami, Miami Gardens. 

Our Targeted Audience

1. Homeless Individuals: this includes people who are living on the streets, in shelters, or in temporary housing arrangements.
2. Low-income elderly individuals: includes senior citizens who are facing financial difficulties and may require assistance with basic needs, healthcare, or social support.
3. Low-income families: includes households with limited financial resources, where providing regular meals for their family members can be a challenge.
4. Individuals facing food insecurity: this includes anyone who does not have consistent access to nutritious and sufficient food.
5. Socially isolated individuals: this includes individuals who may be experiencing loneliness or isolation to their economic circumstances or age.
6. Community members in need: this includes anyone who requires support and assistance, regardless of age or specific circumstances.
