JA Miami teaches young people about money—how to earn it, save it, spend it, and share it—while preparing them to succeed in school, work, and life. Why? We want to break the cycle of poverty in Miami.
As the original South Florida JA, we've been working for 70 years to prepare the next generation of our workforce through immersive, real-world learning experiences that equip local students with the skills, confidence, and mindset to thrive. We focus on career prep, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy skills. To make this all happen, we partner with Miami-Dade County Public Schools as well as schools in Monroe County, prioritizing under-resourced K-12 schools.
During the 2025-2026 school year, more than 35,000 students received JA learning experiences at 133 schools and community organizations. We ran one of the country's largest JA Company Programs, in which high school students create their own small businesses from start to finish, and our JA Stock Market Challenge team won the JA USA National Championship.
