Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School has a proud tradition of excellence, achievement, and community in Miami-Dade County. Serving students from Hialeah, Miami Lakes, Miami Gardens, Opa-locka, and surrounding communities, HML is home to a diverse student body with a rich history of academic achievement, leadership, and school pride.
Our students continue to make their mark far beyond the classroom. HML’s award-winning Model United Nations program, the Global Trojans, has earned recognition at local and statewide competitions, including top delegation honors. Our students also distinguish themselves through programs such as debate, law studies, athletics, the arts, and student leadership.
HML is also home to unique educational resources such as the Ken Mattingly Planetarium and SpaceHub, helping provide students with opportunities to explore science, technology, space, and innovation right on their own campus.
Our students are accomplishing incredible things — and we believe the environment they experience every day should reflect that same sense of pride and possibility.
This Give Miami Day, we are investing in the spaces our students use every day.
The HML PTSA’s 2026 Give Miami Day campaign will focus on improving and revitalizing exterior student areas across campus, beginning with the outdoor lunch and gathering areas where hundreds of students spend time each day.
Our goal is to help create outdoor spaces that are more welcoming, functional, and representative of the pride we have in HML. Funds raised may support improvements such as repairing or replacing outdoor seating and lunch benches, refreshing gathering areas, improving the appearance of exterior spaces, and creating environments where students can comfortably eat, connect, study, and spend time together.
For many students, these spaces are where friendships are built, conversations happen, and some of the most memorable parts of the high school experience take place.
