Friends of Gables Prep (FOGP) is proud to participate in Give Miami Day once again to support Coral Gables Preparatory Academy (CGPA), Coral Gables’ only K-8 community public school.

Since our inception we've been able to raise funds to donate 25 laptops and mobile cart to the school, A/V equipment for the auditorium, and new landscaping for the courtyard. This year, we’re focused on strengthening the Upper Campus experience by expanding before- and after-school enrichment and launching new support for student athletics and team participation. With your generosity, we've already taken meaningful steps toward enhancing daily life for CGPA students:

🏫 The middle school’s newly renovated Media Center now opens early each morning, giving students a welcoming place to study and print assignments before school.
🏃‍♀️ We're working to increase participation in our after-school sports programs, including our new cross country team. Funds raised during Give Miami Day will help us begin offering transportation to and from team events, making it easier for more students to join, regardless of busy family schedules.
🎶 We're collaborating with school leadership to introduce a wider range of after-school enrichment opportunities, designed to bring excitement, creativity, and meaningful engagement to the Upper Campus.

Our goal is simple: to help make CGPA the most dynamic and enriching K–8 school experience in Miami-Dade County. Access to high-quality enrichment - academic, athletic, and creative - is a key part of that vision.

To make this possible, on this Give Miami Day our goal is to raise $10,000 and our Board has agreed to match the first $5,000. As a result, your contribution will have double the impact.

Mission

We are dedicated to supporting Coral Gables Preparatory Academy from Pre-K through 8th grade by partnering closely with school leadership to fund impactful programs and improvements that fall outside the scope of public budgets and traditional parent organizations. FOGP also serves as a bridge across the CGPA community, welcoming new families, engaging alumni, and fostering connections that support a warm, inclusive school culture devoted to excellence.
