Our vision is to respectfully treat, rehabilitate and mentor troubled families through comprehensive, responsive care. Through the provision of evidence-based, dignified and confidential services provided by well-trained and committed staff, we work to break the cycle of child abuse and neglect.
Our values are to keep families together, where appropriate, and strengthen loving ties to the family and the community.
Last year, the Family Resource Center of South Florida provided services to more than 3,500 children, adolescents and adults. The Family Resource Center is driven by the principle that nothing is more fundamental to a community than the safety and well being of its children. Its goal is to prevent and change dysfunctional parent/child interaction patterns, promote positive self-concepts, and build healthy relationships to prevent child abuse. Our programs we offer are full case management, healthy foster kids, after-school tutoring, child-parent psychotherapy, supervised visitations, therapeutically supervised visitations, parent education, dependency drug court and adoption.

Since 1978, the Family Resource Center of South Florida has been championing the rights of children to grow up in a healthy and safe environment. Since then, we have become a leader in child welfare services. We understand how fundamental it is to our community’s continued success that our children find stability, well-being and safety.We start with the strengthening of families.That core of being loved, and exposed to reasonable goals and limits, is what can make the difference in a child’s life and trajectory. We not only help families find a place to live, we also help them make it a stable and loving home. Our goal is to prevent and change dysfunctional parent/child interaction patterns, promote positive self-concepts, and build healthy relationships to prevent child abuse and neglect through family support, crisis intervention, housing location, family preservation, parent education and counseling.
