Friends of Miami Animals Foundation ("FoMA") is a leader in animal welfare & advocacy in Miami Dade County. Our collaborations with our county shelter and other animal welfare groups and national leaders in this field, and with local partners, help expand our reach and helps us save and improve the lives of homeless and at risk pets.
Through large volume free or low cost spay/neuter and TNVR services for community cats we are helping to put an end to pet overpopulation and homeless pets in our community, and the needless suffering and death of unwanted pets. FoMA's commitment to animal welfare also includes pet retention work, helping at risk pets and low income qualified pet owners keep their pets during financially challenging times, and helping our community's unhoused who own pets with pet food support and other services.
FoMA engages volunteers, fosters and adopters as we work to create a more robust support community for our county's homeless pets.
Our efforts and leadership in this work engages pet owners and community stakeholders in creating a better and more humane Miami Dade County for people and their pets.
Our mission is to save and improve the lives of homeless pets in Miami Dade County through education, advocacy, financial support and increased awareness.
