Evolutionary Arts Life Foundation Inc.

Evolutionary Arts Life Foundation Inc. began the summer of 2017 with over 50+ campers due to the lack of arts programming for students in the north side of the county. During the inaugural summer season, we incorporated the music track by offering string orchestra, concert band, jazz band, marching band & drum-line. The following year we added acting, dance and musical theater which culminated into a full performance of the broadway musical "The Wiz" including a full live youth orchestra. In year three we added several additional disciplines to the curriculum such as ukulele, keyboard, chorus, music technology, personal fitness and personal development. In 2019, the camp grew to 160+ combined students. Our end of camp performances were entitled "Celebrating Music in Films" and the Broadway musical "Annie" accompanied by the Evolutionary Arts Youth Orchestra. Due to Covid-19, 2020 resulted in a virtual arts summer camp. The performance featured camper experiences during quarantine. We were back in person in 2021 with about 120 campers and offered a tuition free full scholarship program to help our community! In addition to our stellar arts curriculum we offered an academic component to help amend the learning loss of students due to the Covid -19 pandemic. Our culminating activity consisted of a "Back to the Future", showcase of all classes taught during the 6 week camp. Fast forward between 2002 to 2024, we have expanded our reach to include partnerships with BBBS of Miami, Greater Love Arts Academy, Norland Middle School and Dr Michael Krop High School with year-round programming available to all! Summer 2024 brought a new sense of accomplishment as we serviced about 200 students. The 6 week program included workshops with nationally known performing artists, new electives such as content creation, Visual Arts, and several performances!
