Do Good 41

Do Good 4-1 is a 501c non-profit organization founded in 2019 that serves at-risk and underserved youth and families in our community. The purpose of our organization is to empower and enlighten our youth and families with key essential services with a heavy concentration on STEM education. We understand a lack of education is a contributing factor to poverty, high crime, and incarceration. As a part of strategic delivery plans, Do Good 4-1 targets populations which lack the resources to have similar high exposures to STEM within their school and home environments. African American workers remain underrepresented within the STEM workforce. It is the belief of Do Good 4-1 that earlier exposure can be the catalyst that opens up the interests and the pipeline into this lucrative industry for our youth. The demographics we serve are 90% African Americans and the other 10% makes up of Hispanic, white, and multi-ethnic. ranging from age 6-19 years old 70% Male and 30%Female. In the last 2 year (2021-2022) we served about 600 youth in Miami Dade. The current programs we're running are STEAM Labs, mentoring, educational support, financial literacy, athletics, and Robotics Club. Our "STEAM Labs" program provides students an opportunity to engage in academically exciting hands-on projects in the areas of science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. STEAM Labs addresses an increasingly knowledge-based economy driven by innovation and a dynamic, STEAM-educated workforce. Project-based program engagement includes coding, engineering, math, physics, research, robotics, arts, and technology in collaborative group settings.
