In a world increasingly dependent on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics, it is vital that students have access to quality indoor and outdoor learning environments where they can build their STEAM literacy and prepare for a future as problem solvers, decision makers, and leaders.

STEAM isn’t just the latest buzzword in education; it’s a way of learning that gives our children the skills they need to confidently question, examine, and understand the changing world around them. David Fairchild Elementary PTA is committed to empowering DFE’s teachers and students with a fully outfitted STEAM Lab and Learning Garden, designed to spark curiosity and a love of discovery. These aren’t simply educational tools; they are the building blocks of creative thinking and hands-on learning our students need in order to succeed.

2025 has seen significant cuts to public education funding. David Fairchild Elementary PTA is choosing to view this year’s Give Miami Day as a unique opportunity to unite our community in a spirit of mass generosity, allowing us to DREAM BIG and give our school EVEN MORE than ever before. Registration includes a shirt, personalized bib, swag, and medal… plus, your ENTIRE REGISTRATION FEE is donated to DFE PTA’s Give Miami Day campaign! Since 1955, David Fairchild Elementary PTA's mission has been to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.

Guided by the values of Collaboration, Commitment, Diversity, Respect, and Accountability, DFE PTA is proud to be recognized as a National PTA School of Excellence, 2023-2025, for its focus on strengthening family-school partnerships.

DFE PTA’s programming is structured around: literacy and reading readiness; the three pillars of Healthy Lifestyles: Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds, Healthy Earth; PTA Reflections: arts education and creative expression; STEM + Families; and PTA Connected: digital safety and readiness.
