We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that believes in the unique superpower of individuals and the collective impact they can have in making the world a better place for ALL.

Cristina's Academy uses education as a vehicle to unite, restore, and empower communities. Our programs are designed to address the different dimensions of youth and child development, ensuring that ALL community members have the opportunity to succeed.

We are Agents of Change because U-Matter.

Our Agents of Change volunteers are not only the backbone of our organization today, but they are also trained to become the leaders of tomorrow. Through various service projects—such as tutoring, food and supply drives, beautification efforts, and more—these volunteers develop managerial competencies that can be translated into high-yield employability skills, all while making a positive impact in the world.

These service projects (U-Matter) have different levels of impact, ranging from the individual self to our public schools, and the surrounding communities of the schools we serve. We believe in the interconnectedness of society. Our goal is to move individuals from a place of survival to a position of empowerment, so they can not only succeed but also become catalysts for moving others forward.

U-Matter Agents focus on self-development by using concepts of holistic wellness and the five dimensions of self-care (physical, mental, professional, social, and spiritual). We have made accessible mental health panels to address the needs of youth, and career-oriented panels featuring leaders from the Sony Music industry.

U-Matter Schools meets the diverse needs of public schools in economically challenged neighborhoods. From stocking pantries with food and school supplies for teachers and students, to purchasing educational resources and providing free tutoring services to students, we work to enrich their educational experience. We also bring music programs and events that attract community partners. Our pilot school for this program was Pine Villa Elementary, where we witnessed the power of collaboration. It became an A-rated school for the first time in its history. We are now expanding our impact to serve Laura C. Saunders Elementary, Goulds Elementary, South Miami Heights Elementary, and Arthur and Polly Mays Elementary.

U-Matter Communities is designed to unite, restore, and empower. We create events that bring joy and meet the needs of individuals in a community, such as toy and food distributions. Mainly sponsored by Sony Music Latin and its artists, these events ensure that resources are directed to those who need them most

Rhythmic Revolution is a music program funded by the Sony Global Justice Fund, designed to bring equity in the arts to economically challenged students. Through this program, students develop the skills needed to audition for the magnet arts schools in their neighborhood, which were previously not accessible to them.
