Creative Media Group launched in the Spring of 2021. We saw a need to build out a charitable arm from our experience as a full service production company established in 2011. We began hosting workshops in collaboration with foster care programs and cultural centers in and around Miami-Dade. We quickly expanded to then develop mentorship and youth enrichment opportunities. We have been successful at hosting countless experiences that enrich the lives of young people. Our Festivals & Workshops provide long-lasting change for youth in underserved communities. We have hosted several experiences in Little Haiti and the greater Miami area. In the fall of 2021 we partnered with Genesis Hopeful Haven. During our five week workshop for foster youth we taught the fundamentals of Filmmaking. (for example, know your lens, lighting 101, sound engineering, how to edit raw footage). At the end of the workshop we put together a red carpet movie screening were participants could invite friends and family. Members of the community also came to support the artists. We have also partnered with Urgent Inc. in conjunction with their Spring Break Bootcamp. We have been successful at hosting countless experiences that enrich the lives of young people. We do this by identifying young creatives and assist them in developing their skills in order to operate at an industry standard level.
CMG is at the beginning of its journey and the next milestone is a sustainable micro campus in the Little Haiti neighborhood of Miami slated to open in the Fall of 2023. Our campus will serve as a much-needed artistic incubator space with a clear vision to create a just and equitable community. CMG is taking a holistic and environmental approach by working with StereoTank, an Architectural design studio dedicated to the research and exploration of the intersection of architecture, art, sound, and sustainability. Climate change multiplies the burden of poverty endured by communities like Little Haiti.
Creative Media Group is a Talent Discovery and Film Lab for underrepresented youth. We host workshops in collaboration with foster care programs and cultural organizations in and around Miami-Dade. We provide mentorship and enrichment opportunities for youth ages 16-21. We have been successful at hosting countless experiences that enrich the lives of young people. We provide career exposure, to a wider set of job possibilities and the clear Framework to learn media skills so that our young people can claim their role in this economy . We engage young people through a creative curriculum and prepare them for a technical career in Film, Television, and Digital Content Creation. We strive to change the cultural narrative by altering the way we do business behind the lens, all while creating opportunities for future Filmmakers and Directors from otherwise underrepresented communities.
