Better Way of Miami has been serving the homeless population of Miami-Dade County for 40+ years, serving close to 550 people a year. Some need residential care to get stable. Some do better staying in the community while they get outpatient support, keeping their job or their routine while they work on everything else. And for people who've been turned away everywhere else and because of that find themselves unsheltered, often dealing with mental illness on top of everything, we recently opened a low-barrier Navigation Center for adults.
Better Way of Miami exists to help homeless individuals who are suffering from substance use or mental health conditions find their way back to a stable, healthy life, alongside the families and communities who support them. We do this through shelter, houding, treatment, and care that meets people wherever they are on that path.
