Armour Dance Theatre provides dance training to over 850 students annually, with nearly 600 on scholarship in six locations. Through our programs, we work to remove obstacles and use dance as a vehicle to success. As we celebrate our 76th year we look to the future as our programs continue to grow in scope and impact each year.
We believe dance is merely the vehicle that transports children through doors that maximize their options in life. We are thrilled when one of our graduates is accepted into a major dance company; however, our ultimate goal is to give children choices beyond their present limitations.
The mission of Armour Dance Theatre formerly known as Thomas Armour Youth Ballet is to use the power of exceptional dance training to ensure every student reaches their full potential.
Vision: Arts education builds crucial life skills and has the power to transform a child's future. Armour Dance Theatre will continue its legacy of making dance accessible to all children in our community regardless of income, race, ethnicity, gender identity, ability, or body type.
OBJECTIVES
-Serve youth regardless of income level.
-Reflect the diversity of the community in all programming.
-Facilitate the removal of obstacles that may impede success.
-Offer inclusive programming for youth with or without disabilities.
