Founded in 1989, Area Stage strengthens community through extraordinary theatre and transformative arts education for people of all ages and abilities. Through our Mainstage professional productions, Conservatory, and Inspire Theatre Project for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, we bring innovative storytelling to South Florida and create opportunities for artists to learn, perform, and thrive. Each year, we reach more than 15,000 community members, serve over 700 students through onsite and outreach programs, and provide approximately $100,000 in scholarships.
This Give Miami Day, help us build our next home. With Sunset Place preparing for redevelopment, Area Stage is moving this January. Your support will help fund renovations, accessible spaces, and the costs of establishing our new home while sustaining the productions, instruction, and scholarships our community depends on.
