At Alliance Française Miami Metro (AFMM), we believe that language is more than words — it is a bridge that connects people, opens doors, and strengthens communities. Since 2018, we have been dedicated to celebrating the French language and the rich diversity of Francophone cultures, making a meaningful impact on the lives of greater Miami residents.

🌟 Empowering Youth

We promote a yearly writing contest Dis-moi dix mots (Tell me ten words) in Miami Dade bilingual public schools, as well as after school workshops. These initiatives help young minds discover new possibilities, build confidence, and stay connected to cultural roots that enrich our diverse community.

 🌍 Supporting Professionals, Bridging Communities

We offer scholarships to adults eager to advance their careers by learning the French language, opening doors to new professional jobs and global connections.

Our support helps students cover expenses for French language programs and explore the richness of Francophone cultures. In 2025, we awarded travel grants to two students for an immersive experience in Paris.

Our monthly signature cAFe gatherings bring together communities, building friendships and cross-cultural understanding. 

🎓 Training Teachers, Shaping Futures 

We invest in the future of language education. Through a partnership with the Université des Antilles, we fund a free, two-year master’s program in Teaching French as a Foreign Language (FLE). We also provide certifications for French teachers in Miami and beyond, raising the standard of education in our community.

💼 Inspiring new leaders

Our Trailblazers mentoring program brings accomplished leaders to share their personal journeys of breaking barriers and pursuing careers beyond traditional roles — inspiring young professionals and students to aim higher and dream bigger.

🎭 Enriching Miami’s Cultural Fabric 

We host cultural events that bring people together, deepening appreciation for Francophone culture and its worldwide influence. Our virtual and in-person events showcase writers, artists, historians, scientists, moviemakers and more to captivate audiences far beyond Florida, reaching enthusiasts across Europe and fostering a global cultural dialogue.
