Artists in Residence in Everglades

Supporting AIRIE means investing in artists making Miami's outdoors a place of belonging for all. 

AIRIE Evergreen is our 25th anniversary campaign in which we look at what makes AIRIE at its core, in what ways we serve our community of artists and our local community through our programming, and how we continue to champion the work of artists in the Everglades and beyond to the global stage. 

At the ground level, AIRIE immerses artists in the wonder of the Everglades and other environmental spaces, providing them with the space to research, create and incorporate environmental themes into their practice. During their residencies, artists live and work inside Everglades National Park and are connected with scientists, rangers and community leaders as they explore our relationship to the natural world and reveal how we might achieve a more equitable and sustainable future. AIRIE Fellows share their experiences across Miami-Dade County, nationally, and internationally. We have built a strong network of over 200 artists that bring their experience and connection to the environment to the masses.
