Affirming Youth Foundation, Inc. promotes healthy development for young people by providing opportunities for education and employment and identifying positive role models in the lives of young people, thereby disrupting the pipelines that feed into the system and justice involvement.
Affirming Youth Foundation, Inc. established partnerships with Career Source South Florida, Barry University, Shyla K. Boyd Education Consultant, Mathnasium, Jump Start Tutoring, Culture Shock Miami, Project Citizen, and other agencies. These partnerships support programs that provide system- and justice-involved youth with a variety of services, such as 1-to-1 mentoring by credible messengers, care coordination, and community outreach. Participants are also able to make a positive impact on their communities by taking advantage of opportunities for mental and emotional wellness, educational support, and job training.
Our mission is to assist youth and their families in attaining optimal health through trauma-informed case management, coordinating services, providing wellness support, and facilitating access to resources that enable them to thrive.
