Workforce Readiness Advancement & Placement (WRAP) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering youth (ages 16-25) from underserved communities to achieve financial independence by breaking the cycle of poverty and securing meaningful employment.
Our mission is to bridge the gap between potential and opportunity for underserved youth and young adults by equipping them with employable skills, guidance, and resources needed to secure fulfilling careers, achieve economic self-sufficiency, and become active, positive contributors to their community. In addition, WRAP focuses on high potential youth who may face barriers and access to long-term employment by providing the necessary employable skills training tools and support to overcome challenges that will ultimately help them reach their full potential.
Created on the foundation of best practice models, our comprehensive programs focus on providing targeted skills development, in-depth career exploration, and comprehensive professional readiness training. Our year-round program uses a cohort model to increase engagement, inspire motivation and peer support. Based on proven research, learning within a group fosters a sense of community, diverse perspectives and accountability among participants while improving program outcomes.
Lastly, WRAP specializes in 21st-century workforce skills essential for a seamless transition into the workplace. Furthermore, WRAP goes beyond job placement by carefully matching participants with employers that align with their career interests and experience, fostering mutually beneficial outcomes for both individuals and employers. With a 90% career readiness and workforce readiness skills training completion rate and a 65% job placement success rate to date, WRAP has a proven model for transforming lives while boosting the economy with employable skilled workers.
