The vision for “Dreams for Higher Education” began while I was attending a motorcycle event. A conversation developed between a woman and I who shared with me that her daughter was graduating from high school and had been offered a full scholarship to Florida A&M University. 

However, like many families she was having difficulties with the essentials needed for her to attend college.

Immediately God spoke to me to be of help, and the spirit led me to coordinate a Trunk Party, I began to post on social media and spread the word that I’d be sponsoring the event for a young woman going off to college who was in need.

Many parents began to come forth and also express the need for their children. 

My mission was now clear, I vowed to be a light to those impoverished youth who were striving to build better lives through education in the Miami-Dade County Community. 

Through much faith and determination the first year I was able to execute a Trunk Party for fourteen young men and women who had dreams for higher education.

Statistically more than 1/3 of of college students struggle to be able to support their basic needs. 

As of this year along with my community, I’ve been able to help support over 100 college students.

The great African proverb reminds us that “it takes a village”

So with that mindset let’s take the initiative as a community to continue to support and prepare those young scholars who are striving towards a higher education.
