Wellness in the Schools is thrilled to be back in Miami-Dade Schools and to grow our programming in the 2023–2024 school year! As we reach more students in Miami-Dade, the collaboration with school staff and generous partners continues to empower students with the tools they need to thrive.

Help us continue to bring wellness to school communities across Miami-Dade County, teaching students healthy habits to learn, live, and thrive by making a donation on Give Miami Day 2023.

We partner with public schools, chefs and coaches to expand access to nourishing food and active play. Our collaborative approach and programming aim to shift the culture of schools to prioritize well-being. Founded in 2005 by Nancy Easton and Bill Telepan, Wellness in the Schools reaches over one million public school students across the country every school day.

Our Cook for Kids program helps feed kids real food, transforming the cafeteria menu and making the classroom a fun and encouraging space to learn about nutrition. Our Coach for Kids program helps let kids play and be more active throughout the school day. Our Green for Kids program helps get kids green through environmental sustainability education and hands-on gardening experience.

In partnership with local departments of education, our programs will serve over one million students this school year in 750 schools nationwide across Florida, New York, New Jersey, California, and Washington, D.C.
