We Met Community Connection Inc.

We Met Community Connection Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization facilitating love and friendship for adults 21+ through community service, civic engagement and the arts. Our mission is to overcome loneliness, foster connection and create spaces for community to thrive. We Met in Miami is our first chapter, and we are in the process of launching our second iteration, We Met in Broward.

At our events, adults 21+ wear wristbands that show others we are open to making new connections: green for people looking for love, blue for those seeking friendship and rainbow for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. (Yes, you can wear more than one!) Each event includes curated experiences and facilitated conversations,  designed to help people foster deeper, more meaningful connections through shared interests and values.

Since our launch in February 2024, we've hosted thousands of people at 50+ events, including everything from game nights to a volunteer day at a community garden to a hike in the Everglades to an evening of conversations on taboo topics to an interactive panel discussion with local journalists.
