We Are The Fight is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing hope, comfort, and moments of joy to children battling pediatric cancer and brain tumors and the families standing beside them.
We are proud to serve children and families throughout Miami-Dade County and are so excited by our developing relationships with Nicklaus Children's Hospital and Miami-Dade County Public Schools, particularly South Dade Senior High School, where our founder and president, Isabella Triguero, is a student.
As we establish our programs, we look forward to growing our network of community and healthcare partners to include Holtz Children's Hospital, Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, and Baptist Health's pediatric oncology program at the Miami Cancer Institute.
Born from a pediatric patient's firsthand experience with childhood brain tumors, We Are The Fight understands that the journey extends far beyond hospital rooms, medical procedures, and treatment plans. It affects every part of a child's life and places tremendous emotional, physical, and financial demands on the entire family.
We believe that while we may not be able to change a child's diagnosis, we can change how supported, loved, and understood they feel throughout their journey.
Through our programs, we work to ease the burdens of treatment, create meaningful experiences, and remind children that they are so much more than their diagnosis.
Our primary initiatives include:
Ready to Fight Chemo Care Packages: Providing thoughtfully assembled care packages filled with comfort items, activities, and essentials to help children navigate treatment.
The Good Days Project: Creating memorable experiences and opportunities for children and families to enjoy life beyond cancer.
Party in the House: Bringing celebrations, activities, and moments of happiness directly to children receiving care in hospitals.
Family Support: Helping families manage some of the practical and financial challenges of treatment, including travel and lodging needs.
This Give Miami Day, we are raising funds to turn compassion into action. Every donation helps us reach more children, support more families, and bring a little more light into some of life's most difficult moments.
Childhood cancer or brain tumors may be part of their story, but it does not define who they are.
